Product Description:

Lead-clad steel grounding electrodes are an important component of DC transmission systems. Grounding electrode welding is divided into two types:

grounding electrode steel rod butt welding and grounding electrode feeder cable welding.

Main Technical Parameters of Lead-clad Steel Grounding Electrodes:

1. Copper layer thickness ≥ 0.3mm

2. Tensile strength ≥ 600N/mm²

3. Straightness error ≤ 0.5mm/m

4. Copper layer plasticity: When the grounding rod and grounding wire are bent at a 30-degree angle, there are no cracks on the inner and outer edges of the bend.

Lead-clad steel grounding electrodes are an important component of DC transmission systems. Grounding electrode welding is divided into two types:

grounding electrode steel rod butt welding and grounding electrode feeder cable welding. The former can be achieved using electric welding or exothermic welding, but both methods must ensure the electrical performance and corrosion resistance of the weld joint; the latter is recommended to use a DC transmission grounding electrode welding design.

Lead-clad steel grounding electrodes, when deeply buried underground, offer extremely strong protection against both natural corrosion and electrochemical reactions. The grounding rod and grounding connection are exothermically welded using welding powder produced by our company, ensuring the grounding device is completely protected by copper, making it a truly maintenance-free grounding device.

Lead-clad steel grounding electrodes are equipped with coaxial connectors, drive heads, and drill bits. Depending on different geological conditions and usage requirements, the length of the lead-clad steel grounding electrode can be arbitrarily increased by using brass coaxial connectors (connecting bolts). The top end uses a drive head (connecting bolt) for driving the rod deeper. The bottom end uses a special drill bit (connecting bolt) for easier driving.

Lead-clad steel grounding electrodes are connected using electric welding with asphalt coating or with a special stainless steel connector.

Lead-clad steel grounding electrodes are mainly used for applications requiring high resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, especially in the fertilizer industry where resistance to ammonia and ammonium compound corrosion is required.
